Supplemental Terms — The Experiment, the Dashboard and Credits

Effective date: 13 August 2026

These supplemental terms apply to the public experiment, its dashboard, the Daily Call, and Credits. They are in addition to our Terms of Service, which applies in full — including the disclaimer of warranties (section 16), the limitation of liability (section 17) and the indemnity (section 18). Where these conflict with the master Terms, these prevail for the experiment only.

1. What this is

1.1 We operate a real business portfolio in public. A dashboard publishes the experiment's progress, decisions, results and finances. An artificial intelligence system operates the business day to day; a human owner owns the entity, holds ultimate authority, and performs actions requiring a person.

1.2 Visitors may participate by voting in the Daily Call and by purchasing Credits, which allow participation in features that influence the experiment.

1.3 This is an experiment and a form of entertainment. It is not a financial product, an investment scheme, a fundraising round, a game of chance, or a competition with prizes.

2. Credits — what they are, and what they are not

2.1 Credits have no monetary value. They are a limited licence to use certain participation features of the experiment, nothing more.

2.2 Credits cannot be redeemed, exchanged, cashed out, withdrawn or converted into money, goods, services, or anything else of value. There is no mechanism by which any Credit becomes money in your hands, and we will not create one.

2.3 Credits are not, and do not represent: (a) a share, security, investment, financial instrument, or interest of any kind in any company; (b) any ownership, equity, profit share, revenue share, dividend, or economic interest in the experiment, the products, or the business; (c) any right to control, vote on, or direct the business as a matter of corporate governance; (d) a loan, deposit, or debt owed to you; (e) a currency, e-money, stored-value instrument, or payment instrument usable anywhere other than within this closed system; (f) a wager, stake, bet, or entry into any game of chance or skill for a prize; (g) a virtual asset, digital token, cryptocurrency, or anything transferable to another person.

2.4 Credits are non-transferable. They cannot be sold, gifted, traded or transferred to any other person or account. Any attempt to do so is void and may result in forfeiture.

2.5 No winnings. No prizes. No payouts. Nothing you do with Credits can result in you receiving money or a prize. Participation cannot make you better off financially, and is not capable of doing so by design.

2.6 You are paying for participation, and nothing else. You should treat any purchase of Credits as spent at the moment you make it, in the same way as buying a ticket to something. If you would be unhappy to receive nothing of monetary value in return, do not buy Credits.

2.7 We may issue Credits free of charge at our discretion. Free Credits carry no different rights and no cash value.

2.8 We may set, change and remove the prices, quantities, purchase limits, and available uses of Credits at any time.

3. Influence is advisory, and the owner decides

3.1 Credits allow you to express preferences, vote, or trigger participation features. They do not bind us.

3.2 Every decision about the business remains ours. The owner retains sole and absolute authority over all business decisions, including which products to build, continue or discontinue, how money is spent, and whether to act on any expressed preference. Audience influence is an input, never an instruction.

3.3 In particular, and for the avoidance of doubt, the decision to wind down any actual service to customers ("a business-kill") is the owner's alone and is never determined by a vote.

3.4 We may disregard any vote or expressed preference, including where we consider it unlawful, harmful, unfair to a customer, contrary to a duty we owe, manipulated, or simply unwise. We are not obliged to explain why, although we generally will.

3.5 Nothing in this experiment creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, fiduciary duty, or any duty to act in your interest or on your instruction.

4. The Daily Call and voting

4.1 The Daily Call invites participants to predict or choose between options. It is free to participate, there is no prize, and nothing of value is won or lost.

4.2 Where we publish a commitment mechanism (for example, publishing a cryptographic hash of our own answer before votes open, and revealing it afterwards), it is provided so that participants can check we did not change our answer after the fact. We provide it in good faith and make no warranty that it is free from error or defect.

4.3 Voting records and aggregate results may be published. Votes are anonymous — see the Privacy Policy, section 2.8.

4.4 We may cancel, void, re-run or exclude any Call or any vote, including where there is a technical fault, ambiguity, or evidence of manipulation.

4.5 You must not manipulate outcomes, including by voting through multiple identities, automating votes, or coordinating to distort results. We may void affected results and remove access.

5. Published information about the business

5.1 The dashboard publishes figures about the experiment — revenue, costs, runway, decisions, results and similar. We publish them in good faith and intend them to be accurate.

5.2 They are not audited, not reviewed, not prepared to any accounting standard, and may contain errors, estimates, provisional figures, and timing differences. They may be restated or corrected at any time.

5.3 Nothing published is financial, investment, business, legal or tax advice, or an offer, solicitation or invitation to invest in anything. No securities are being offered.

5.4 You must not rely on anything published for any decision, including any decision to buy Credits, and we accept no liability for any decision made in reliance on it.

5.5 Statements about plans, targets or intentions are forward-looking, describe what we currently intend, and frequently will not happen. The whole point of an experiment is that it may fail.

5.6 We may correct, amend, remove or stop publishing any information at any time. Where we correct a material error, we intend to say so rather than change it silently.

6. Refunds and what happens if the experiment ends

6.1 Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where the law where you live gives you a refund or cancellation right — including any statutory cooling-off right for consumers in the European Union or United Kingdom. Where you have such a right, it applies and this section does not limit it. Contact us and we will honour it.

6.2 We may refund at our discretion. Doing so once creates no entitlement or precedent.

6.3 If the experiment is wound down, unspent Credits will either be refunded or donated to a charity chosen by the audience, as set out in our public wind-down commitment. We will say which, and why, at the time.

6.4 If we terminate your access for breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, unspent Credits are forfeited without refund.

6.5 Credits do not expire while the experiment is running.

7. The experiment may change or end at any time

7.1 This is an experiment. It may be changed, paused, restarted, or ended at any time, for any reason or none, without notice. Features may be added or removed. Rules may change. Results may be voided.

7.2 Ending the experiment does not by itself end any paid service to customers of our products. They are separate, and the duty-of-care commitments in the supplemental terms for a paid product apply to that product regardless of what happens to the experiment.

7.3 We may exclude any person from participation at any time, without giving a reason.

8. An artificial intelligence operates this business

8.1 We disclose plainly that an AI system makes and executes day-to-day decisions, writes the software, and produces much of the published material, under the authority and supervision of the human owner.

8.2 AI systems make mistakes, including confident ones. Published reasoning, analysis and figures may be wrong. This is part of what the experiment is examining.

8.3 The human owner remains legally responsible for the business. No statement made by any AI system, on the dashboard or elsewhere, creates any obligation, promise, warranty or contract binding on us, and none should be relied upon as such. Only these published documents do that.

9. User contributions

9.1 Where the experiment allows you to submit comments, questions, reactions or other material, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use, display, reproduce and adapt it in connection with the experiment and its publication, including in any final report or archive.

9.2 Do not submit anything confidential. Anything you submit may be published.

9.3 We may remove anything, at any time, for any reason.

⚠️ NOTE FOR REVIEW — NOT PART OF THE PUBLISHED TERMS

The Credits design was chosen specifically to avoid securities, gambling and payment-instrument characterisation: money in, participation out, nothing redeemable, nothing transferable, no prize, no cash rake, closed system. This document is drafted to state each of those features expressly, because the characterisation follows from the design, and the design must not drift.

Three changes would break it, and must not be made without legal advice: making Credits redeemable or transferable in any form; introducing any prize, payout or thing of value that can be won; or offering any profit, revenue or ownership share. Any one of these could convert Credits into a regulated instrument.

The owner has decided not to take formal legal advice on this before launch. That decision is recorded, along with the reasoning that no one wins money and nothing can be cashed out. See ../reference/EU-COMPLIANCE-REQUIREMENTS.md §5.
