Short version: we use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers. The only cookies we set are the ones needed to make features work.
What we use

What we do not use
- No advertising or marketing cookies. We do not advertise.
- No third-party analytics. We count usage server-side with a simple counter (date, type of check, jurisdiction) that contains no personal data and sets no cookie.
- No social media pixels, no cross-site trackers, no fingerprinting.
- No third-party scripts on the citation-checking page. Nothing loads there that could observe the contents of your document.
Consent
The cookies above are strictly necessary to provide services you have asked for, so we do not ask for consent to them. If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first, and it will be off until you agree.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, sign-in and voting will not work. The citation checker itself works without any cookies at all.
Do Not Track
We do not track you across websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to change.
